Shore Fishing - Bubble Float Fishing for Sea Bass with Shrimp

Float fishing can be a great and productive way to target Bass. It is also relaxing, exciting, and fun and live shrimp/prawn is a great bait to use.

In the video below, I collect the shrimp using a push net and fish with a bubble float in shallow water over rough weedy ground.

    1. The shrimp net is called a Koike Push Net and I purchased from ebay. There are two sizes and this on is the large 100cmx205cm:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/232033536227?lpid=122&chn=ps&googleloc=1006505&poi=&campaignid=620865095&device=c&adgroupid=27378760866&rlsatarget=pla-181484323506&adtype=pla&crdt=0 I would not advise the bait bucket as it developed pump problems however, I do not need the pump as I just change the water now and then but if you do a search for live bait bucket there are plenty out there. Rob.

  3. Hi Rob,

Great video as always; thanks for posting.
I love using live prawn under a float for bass, especially at night using a small tip light on top of the float. I use 15g self weighted Buldo floats which slide up and down the line to whatever depth you require. When they take a prawn at night the light will shoot under and motor off just under the surface at incredible speed.

    1. Thank you for your comment and interesting about the prawns at night. Although I have done a great deal of Bass fishing at night with lures and bait I am yet to try live shrimp/prawn and I can see it would be a great method.
