Fishing for and catching Squid to cook has become one of my favourite things to do each autumn in Cornwall UK. I head out on the kayak before dawn on a quest to catch some Squid using Squid jigs fished by vertical jigging in deep water.
In the video below, I talk about and show the Squid jig rig, how to make the rig using a very simple and quick method of tying a standoff loop, along with the technique used to catch the Squid. In addition to the catching of the Squid, I show how to dispatch a Squid. Back home I prepare and clean the Squid and cook using a fantastic and simple recipe. Tight Lines and Bon Appétit.
