Fishing for Sea Bass with Soft Plastics - Tips for Beginners

There are some great soft plastic lures on the market these days that imitate baitfish so well they are almost as good as the real thing.

I set out for a very early morning session targeting Sea Bass with a great soft plastic that imitates a Sandeel and it turned out to be a great session with six Bass caught. The video below shows the session with tips and advice for those new to Bass fishing with soft plastics.

    1. Hi Andy. Thanks for the comment and really good to me you as well along with your friends. It was also interesting see the different kayaks you had and a great 50th you have got yourself there. You can see now what I was up to early doors on this session and hope you manage to get a few. No doubt see you again some time. Rob.

    1. Hi Jamie. Thank you for the comment. The Thresher is going well and this is the first time I have fished with it on camera. As a fishing kayak it is well designed, easy to rig, and stable. On this day, off camera, I also fished with it at anchor and although I will be using my Prowler Big Game more at anchor the Thresher was great and no problems.

  3. Sounds great Rob, looking forward to getting mine rigged this winter.
Just out of interest, what paddle keeper did you use. It looked nice and neat in this video.

    1. Hi Jamie. I fitted the paddle keeper I use by tying a piece of bungee cord in the appropriate place between the existing fittings that hold the grab line along the side of the kayak. There are spare holes to be able to do this. To clip the bungee over the paddle I just fitted a spare bungee clip that was already on the track near the rear tank well to the track near my seat. Rob.
